Kristen combines her 10 years hospital experience as a critical care and emergency room nurse with prehospital experience. This provides Kristen the unique ability to work with care providers from all levels of experience and diverse disciplines to create a unified team for enhanced patient care.
Kristen has worked closely with Dr. Sebat since the early development stages of the shock program. She continues to be instrumental in implementation of the program at Shasta Regional Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose as well as other hospitals. Kristen is a national speaker on early identification and rapid response to critically ill patients and actively promotes advancement of nursing autonomy through education and clinical support.
As a research coordinator Kristen continues her work in clinical education, protocol implementation and adherence, data collection and analysis for pilot and multicenter trials. She is currently focusing on Shock Team and Rapid Response Team (STaRRT) development and implementation.
